Some toys from the boys are played driffent but they both gives skills that will help them in there future. Boys toys gives them skills such as building, like Lego or transforme toys that helps them become a enginner when they grow up. However, girls toys makes girls more fashionable. Toys like, Barbies, Brats, and many other toys, helps them become better fashionable person by playing with mini figures of cloth with dolls and other type of toys.

ReplyDeleteI don't think the list is putting a unfair limits on the children; boys and grils have the right to play with whatever toy they would like.Alhougth boys are not allow to play with girl dolls, because they will be look as being soft; however girls would be look as being a tomboy, by playing with boy toys. It's just is what it is; boys please stick with your toys and girl just stick with your toys.
ReplyDeletein a way yes, because there should not be a limit on what a girl can play with or what a boy can play with. Both boy and girl played elmo, video game.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to toys with boys and girls there are many diffrences and little similarities. Little boys differ to little girls. Boys usually tend to like video games, destroying things, getting dirty and playing with cars. When girls like playing with princesses, faires, barbies, and pop idols like Hannah Montana . The one thing that boys and girls share are the love of video games. Games are games, even if they are boy games or girl games. These limits dont put unfair limits on children of their sex because most boys wouldnt want to play with barbies and girls wouldnt like to play with transformers.
ReplyDelete~~~~~~~360 and Nintendo Wii are the same in a couple of ways such as that they are both video games boys and girls can play but most tom girl will play the both games. Another way that the 360 and Wii are the same is that they are both plug into TV. They both are also played with remote controller. One way that Xbox and Nintendo Wii are different is that with the 360 they have bigger disc to put into the 360. The Wii holds smaller disc, but the Wii also play Game cube games. Another way that the 360 is different you can invite people that have 360 to play agene them. The Wii you can get on the internet also. The Xbox 360 you can see who online and send messages like using e-mail. The Nintendo Wii when you buy the system it already comes with 1-2 game and also come with most of the equipment, for example it come with 2 remotes. The X-Box 360 come with just the system and the controllers and that is just one controller.
ReplyDeleteYes, the list for children in 2008 does put an unfair limit to girls. In common boys and girls play with elmo and nintendo wii, but everything else on the list seems to be a barbie or baby doll. This also seems stereotypical because it's like teaching a child to be motherly at such a young age, feeding the baby doll and changing its diapers. On the other hand, boy toys seem more complicated because they consist of buliding things, more construction like and controling things, operations. They make the boy look dominant at such a young age. Children are children they should all be treated equal not categorized by what they play with.
ReplyDeletemy thoughts about the childrens (boys & girls) toy list is that i find it very stereotypical. its like society wants the kids to grow only in to proticular things, as in for the boys, they want them to grow in to builders, or join the milatary. for the girls, they want them to grow to high class, up tight, sandwhich making women. i think girls should play just as what the boys are playing with. we are all human, we could all do the same thing as each other
ReplyDeleteI think that the list does put a certain limit in some ways. There are more limitations for a boy than a girl. I mean lets say you have a boy and a girl and you buy your daughter a doll but your son an ps3. It would be ok for the girl to play with the ps3 but your son wouldnt be able to play with the doll. Society would label your son as a homosexual. Nothing is wrong with that but all fathers want thier child to be just like them.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on the whole top toys for boys & girls are they are kids they should be able to play with what they wont to. Yes there limits on the toy like you shouldnt see a boy playing with a barbie doll but it dont have to be a barbie it can be like a g.i. joe doll or if a girl plays with a remote controlled car it can be the ones girls can buy to enjoy themselves. I think that its unfair because toys were ment for the enjoyment for kids and not to be place in a gender group. If i could compare the top toys for boys and girls on my list i would have a few things like Nintendo Wii, elmo, video games, all types of dolls, computer games, and the list can go on. Now if i were to contrast them things like Hannah Monana, transformers, and guns should have some limits to them and this is my thoughts on the top toys for boys and girls.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion in 2008 there was really no top toy for boys and girls. the top toy for boys was video games, cars, computers, and etc. the top toys for girls are barbies, board games, polly pocket, and many more. the things that they have in common are the video games and board games. the differences between them two are that boys like stuff that are ruff, and boyish. girls on ther other hand like things that are girly, pink and pretty , and stuff that arent nasty.
ReplyDeleteThe video games are the same and that both boys and girls play with. Not only are they popular but the elmo toys are also very popular between both boys and girls. Other than that two things the rest of the list contrast because boys and girls play with whatever they want to play with though.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on the whole toys list is not unfair at all.Toys for boys and girls should be diffent unless if some case an girl got tried of playing with dolls and make up and they just wanted to play with boy toys that are fun for them.Kids shouldnt be judge on what that play with they still young kids who didnt even find themselves yet.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion about the list for the boys and girls is that it is fair because we all think the same now-a-days. On the boys list it says that they mostly bought cars, video games, and legos to build things with. On the other hand, girls have all types of dolls, video games, and elmo of course. I believe that they have the right to choose what ever they want to play with. But when it comes to parents telling the boys that they have to play with cars, or things that they have to build, then thats when things get out of hand and become sexism. That includes for the girls as well because ever doll you see it deals with being a parent, cooking, and other girly things. Other then that both of the top toys did have some similarities. For example, Elmo and video games are two of the similarities that both the boy and girl can agree to play with, without saying that it is a boy or girl toy.
ReplyDeleteThis list does not put any unfair limits on what type of toys the kids should play with. This list just proves the obvious a girl is going to be girly, while the boy likes car and stuff like that. Both boys and girls can sometimes have the same taste on things such as video games, elmo, and even toy cars. On the other hand, the children are the ones who choses what to play with at the end.
