I don't know about you, but sometimes I am curious yet overwhelmed at all the different types of music out there. There seems to be so many new styles of music and new artists available every day. I could have an ipod plugged in 24 hours a day, and still not experience it all. I enjoy so many types of music, but I must admit that I need to take a 'music bath' once in awhile to listen to the new stuff coming out. What about you?
What types of music do you enjoy? What new artists appeal to you and why do they? If your ipod could only hold three different types of music, what would they be? How do you consume music---downloads on ipods, computers, cd's, smartphones, vinyl?
Lady Gaga seemed to do well at the MTV Music Awards. Do you have an opinion about her and her music?
I agree that there are so many tyoes of different music and it seems to me that everyday something else is brought about. The type of music I like is gogo, R&B, hip-hop, reagge, and pop. New artist that appeal to me are Justin Beiber and Gyptain. if my ipod could hold three types of music it would be gogo, R&b, and reagge. I consume music by ipods, cds sometimes, my cell phone, youtube, and radio. Lady Gaga is a very interesting artist, her style is very unique and speaks for her. She makes really good music and although her fashion sense may be questionable I still like majority of it, it makes her stand out.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to music, I tend to listen to a variety of music because in today's society we listen to almost every aspect of music. The music I enjoy is hip hop, pop and my Latin music. New artists that appeal to me would be Lady Gaga, Drake, Tony Dize, because when they write down their lyrics, it's usually about something personal or how they feel about the world or even about love at times. If my iPod could only hold three different types of music, it is hip hop, pop, and my Latin American music. The way I consume my music is by my computer, by downloading it on Lime Wire, using YouTube, and playing CD's when there is a party.
ReplyDeleteLady Gaga didn't seem to do well, she was amazing at the MTV Music Awards and I personally loved every minute I saw her during the show. My opinion about her is that she expresses herself without caring what everyone else thinks. She may dress oddly and maybe even dress half naked at one point, but in the end she can always looks incredible and can rock her outfit. Lady Gaga's music tells it all. If you listen to her music closely, it always has a meaning to it; but when you watch her music videos that has another totally different meaning as well. For example her song Alejandro, talks about how she doesn't want three guys; Alejandra, Fernando, and Roberto, to not call out her name even though she loves them and they love her back. But if you look at the video, she sends out a very different message to her fans and to the world. Her message in the video is telling everyone to let the Gay's enter the Army, Navy, or the Marines because we all are human beings and we should be treated the same. Just because some men are gay doesn't mean that they can't fight for their rights and for our country itself. She is one outstanding person that I admire and proud to call myself a fan of hers.
America is full of so many different cultures that it has influence the music that everyone listens to. I just really do not know what to listen now in days there are just too many genre of music to choose from. You can say that I listen to a little bit of everything. I can go from METALICA to CYPRESS HILL, to TUPAC. New artistes these days rarely appeal to me because most of them are fake meaning they really do not go through the things they talk about in their music they just do it for the money. But since music is like an addiction to me DRAKE would probably be the only new artist that I listen to since he real with what he says. All the music in the music industry now in days has hidden messages in it that people do not realize. People in today society just listen to music because it sound good but they really don’t know what the music is really saying
ReplyDeleteMy genre of music would be RAP, MUSICA LATINA, HIP-HOP, ROCK, and sometimes R&B. If my iPod could hold only three genre of music it would be RAP, MUSICA LATINA, and HIP-HOP. What I do to be hip on what’s new I watch TV and listen to the radio too. So I can listen to the music whenever I want I to go on the computer and download it into my hardware and just play whatever I want. Sometimes I go to the store and buy CDs, but with all the new technology that surrounds me I could just do all that in the house, you feel me? Anyways that is how I consume most of my music but sometimes my friends also play an influence on what I listen to sometimes.
Lady Gaga there is just too much to say about her. Her like many other artists in the music industry reveal through symbolic messages hidden through their music video and sometimes in their lyrics show who they really are. Well I can understand why people think Lady Gaga is just an artist that sings about love and all that stuff since she writes her own songs but I don’t think so, not for me it isn’t. A problem with me I am very logical about things and I always use my logic senses to help me analyze things how they really are. Since this is my opinion about Lady Gaga, I think she has satanic messages in her songs just like most of the other artists in the music industry do too. Is not that I don’t like Lady Gaga because she worship the devil or something like that it’s because she is just not my style. I just had to point that out but I listen to music that’s way worst than Lady Gaga, I’m not going to lie. I like that she is different in her own way and unique and that is good for her. But all that pop techno stuff is really not for me.
Yes, I do listen to music that is new, but I prefer old music, for example like throwback. One reason I say that is because throw back music has meaning to is. An example what I mean by meaning is when the music artist is talking about life, or relationships. The new music that I listen to is Keri Hillson today. One of her song is call “I got your Back “featuring TI. The reason I like that song is, because it talks about a relationship with to lover that will always be there no matter what. However they are saying it “I got your Back” let someone mess with you, such as a male messing with his girl, and a girl messing with her man. The three type of music that I would put on my Ipod would be R&B soul(throwback), Hip Hop, and my gospel because it don’t matter were you at I have to have the Lord with me. The way I get my music I go on lime wire, and I will download it to my phone, ipod, and my computer. I put it on my ipod if I am going on a road trip like if I am going out of town. I put it on my phone that way if I am on the metro I can listen to it on my phone, because today I don’t take my ipode with me if I am getting on the train or bus, one reason for that is because things happened like people robbing you, for example. The reason I put it on my laptop is because when I am doing homework, or just on my laptop I will play music because I focus and get motivated by music as a listener. I did not see the MTV Award, so I can’t say what my opinion is about her and her music. However, I must say that I do like her song Telephone ft. Beyonce.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all kinds of music my all time favorite genre is would be Pop Hip Hop & R&B, but I like to listen to all kind of music. I have many new artists that I enjoy listening to but the most popular one I enjoy as of now would be Rapper Waka Flocka pop artist list would be Lady Gaga, Brittany Spears, Ciara, Chris Brown. R&B would be Alicia Keys and Others because I have a lot of artist I enjoy listening to but is to many to name. I enjoy these artists because they are entertaining and they all have very interesting music. If I can only have three types of music I would have Pop-Rock, Hip Hop, and R &B. How I consume my downloading would be consisting I love downloading new music every time I hear a song I like I download it to my laptop, phone ect. I just enjoy music a lot and if there were no music in the world I would not know what to do. For good entertainment except for movies that it but music is good for the soul It makes you feel something special.
ReplyDeletei enjoy today's hip-hop and R&B music yet sometimes throwbacks get me in a emotional state of mind.GO GO at times get me very hype and ready to go.a new artist will only appeal to me if i like their music.the three types of music i would i have on my i pod are hip hop,R&B, and GO GO.i consume music as a relaxation. i love lady gaga and everything she stand for,she is a very political pop artist.GO LGBT
ReplyDeleteI ENJOY ALL TYPES OF MUSIC FROM hip hop, r&b,soul,rap,country,and even rock, but the one that i perfer the most would be soul music from back in the day.For example Luther Vandross,Joe. i named these artist because they talk about love and the different types their are out there.im not to much of a download person of music but i do keep myself up to date with the entertainment world. if my ipod could only have three different types of music in it then it would be slow jams,r&b, and hip hop. i pick these three gener's because these are the most ones that i listen to on a everyday basis. slow jams helps me think about different situations in life. R&B relaxes me and makes me more calm of a person .and hip hop is just hip hop another word for gangter music.
ReplyDeleteWhat I usually listen to is more of the underground RnB and mostly oldies from the 2000s and some 90s. I do need to take a music bath though. There are other generes of music that i dont listen to that I should check out. I personally think that today all the music on the radio is a bit too much. The way they use auto tune now is just excessive. When one artist used it it sounded great but something being over used just makes me want to turn off my radio. Rap now a days is so vulgar, some things I hear on the radio just make me want to have a talk with the producer myself. There are children who listen to such awful music that gives off bad examples. A new artist that appeals to me is Nicki Minaj. Alot of people may not have know her a couple of months ago, but now that she has surfaced i can see that she is a very unique artist. The way she raps/sings brings a new sound to the music era today. I like Nicki Minaj the most as the best new artist. If my iPOD could only hold three types of music, it would be RnB, hip hop , and soul. I am not much of a rap person, these three types of music are more enjoyable for me. Where I keep most of my music is in my smart phone. Before my smart phone I would use the iTOUCH.

New artists that appeal to me would be Trey Songs, Drake, and Nikki Minaj , because they lyrics express what there personal life is about and the love that one can have for another.If my iPod could only hold three different types of music, it is hip hop, go-go, and R&B music. ReplyDeleteThere are many different types of music but the ones that I enjoy listening the most are Rock and Metal. What appeals to me most about new artists is the way they create music and mix music with technology.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to put only 3 types of music into my iPod it would probably be Metal, Rock and some Latin music because is these are the genres I enjoy the most. Back in the day I used to go to different stores and look for Cd's but now at days it is easier for me to just buy it online.
To me the reason why “Lady GaGa” seemed to do so well at the MTV music awards is because she has become an icon for the fashion industry and people enjoy the way she dresses as well as her music. I personally don't listen to her music but that doesn't mean that she’s a bad artist.
when it comes to listing to music, I like variety of music. I love slow jams, R&B, go-go and some rap music.New artists that I like would be LIl booise and young jezzy because I beleive when they rap it's not fake or they are not making anything up to sale recordes.If my Ipod could just hold three different types of music it will be Gospel and slow jams and Jazz. The way I consume my music is by my computer, downloading it on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteTo add to my commet. Lady GaGa did a great job at the VMA's last week. She won 3 or 4 awards and looked great. Her music is so unique has has so many hidden messages in each song. She can never be boring, I always expect the best from Lady GaGa.

The music i usually listen to hip hop rap reagge rock reaggeton and lots more just to try to get the understanding of what they are trying to say in there music. when it comes to downoading music i download it on my phone/ipod or a cd

But yes I love all kinds of music I don't have favorite music I hear everything.I enjoy whatever's out there i listen to it just to get a taste of every song.I love songs that have a message or something that we should learn about.When it comes to downloading music to my ipod i download it by itunes I put a cd in and transfer it to my ipod. To be honest I only hear cristian music but I hear all of them I don't have a favorite.I enjoy all kinds of music.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes do need to do some searching for new material becasue somtimes i can go for month with out listening to music and when i do i stay behind in the music induster. The type of music i enjoy is rock, sometimes pop, and hard rock. i am old school, so i mainly like music that have been out befor, there no new artist that may appeal to me. If my ipod only consume 3 type of music it would be the same 3 type of music i mention at frist that i liked. I usually get all my music through itunes. Thats how i consume my music
ReplyDeleteWhen i have time i listen to some musice,i enjoys all kind of music, not just one particular tpyes.I like couple of Nigeria Artist just to name a few Timaya, J martin. One of them would be African, pop and R&B. yes i do downloads music i was just downloading some music the other day. I dont care for lady Gaga, She is from another planet.
